13-Year-Old Phenom OLIVER RICHMAN Releases Cover of Bruno Mars' 'Count on Me'
When he was just 9-years-old, young vocalist Oliver Richman (www.oliverrichman.com) released his first music video, "Defying Gravity" from "Wicked." Now 13, he has launched into his teen years with an equally emotional rendition of one of the most beautiful and heartfelt pop ballads of recent years, Bruno Mars' 'Count On Me': http://www.youtube.com/embed/0jMu49cvGbE?rel=0&hd=1&autoplay=1
Unlike "Defying Gravity" and its follow-up, a cover of Steve Miller Band's"Abracadabra,"
Richman's latest video release features a stripped down style both
musically and visually, with Oliver singing while playing a simple
arrangement on the piano.
The 13-year-old Richman, has added acting to his resume and has appeared as"Young Frank" Sinatra in touring performances of "Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show."
He is currently working on several other projects that include a new
EP, a new music video and filming a pilot which has now been picked up
by a major network.
Richman's grandfather was legendary Motown songwriter, Ron Miller ("For
Once In My Life." In 2010, Oliver was invited by legendary Stevie Wonder to sing with him at his 15th Annual House Full of Toys Benefit Concert,
held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles; Richman received a standing
ovation for his performance from an audience of over 7,500 people when
he sang "One Little Christmas Tree,"
a Christmas classic written by his grandfather. Richman has also been
featured on Byron Allen Entertainment Studios' "The Young Icons," a
nationally syndicated show about young people changing the world.
Oliver's new video release was produced by and directed by Lisa Dawn Miller for Hackett Miller Company, Inc.
Miller is also in production on a new film documentary about her
father, Ron Miller, entitled "For Once In My Life," and a live
theatrical musical due 2015.
